A HEALTHIER, SUSTAINABLE CHOICE.

Our hemp products are durable and have a smaller carbon footprint than other fabric industries, for a greener and more sustainable environmental impact. Fast fashion off the runway at low cost comes at a higher price to the health of our planet.

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting ones in the world. Now companies and people are showing the truth behind the brands and the discarded clothing dumping grounds around the world. Hemp uses 400 x less water than cotton to grow and yet it gives you a similar product, and with a myriad of uses. What is great to know, is that within a matter of time any hemp product discarded will be reabsorbed back into the earth, yes…even hemp plastic!

Hemp needs no toxic chemicals, pesticides or insecticides in order to grow, and consumes four times as much CO2 as trees do. One hectare of industrial hemp can absorb 22 tonnes of CO2 per hectare

Our fabrics can be used to create and design anything your heart desires. An ideal way to start is by ordering our Swatch Folder to take a closer look, and feel the fabrics first hand.

Hemp’s History

One of the oldest textiles in existence, hemp usage dates back to 8000 BCE, however it all but disappeared due to prohibiiton.
Today it’s a whole new world to discover, from plastics, to paper, to housing with hempcrete and now to fabric. My bunny loves his hemp bedding and hemp seeds. When I told my farmer father what we were growing, his response was, “Oh it was so popular in France for being the strongest rope that was used”. This comment sent me down a rabbit hole of information. I found there is archaeological evidence that Neolithic Europeans used hemp cloth in what is now Southern France from 1000 AD up until now. France is the only Western European country that never prohibited hemp cultivation in the 20th century.
History is definitely repeating itself - this time for the better. Cotton was the demise of hemp, as the cotton industry pushed for its ban which has lasted all this time.
